Job Description
Salary: £3500 – £45000
As Accounts Payable Manager at the Abingdon Office
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the day-to-day management/training of the accounts payable team
* Ensure payment runs are processed against agreed (daily/weekly/monthly) deadlines and complete first approval
* Be proactive and take initiative to make suggestions on process improvements and automation opportunities
* Ensure the creditor's ledger is maintained accurately and key supplier statements are reconciled
* Resolve escalated queries in a timely manner with clear communication with the relevant stakeholders
* Lead monthly calls with suppliers to review any overdue balances and outstanding queries
* Ensure the company's policy on dealing with new suppliers is followed diligently and appropriate checks are completed
* Assist the Financial Controller in conducting ad-hoc operational and financial analysis
* Assist with the year-end audit and budget process
The ideal Accounts Payable Manager / Sales Ledger Manager will have the following skills and experience:
A minimum of two years' experience of managing an accounts payable team in a high-volume organisation
* Demonstrable track record of change management and implementation of process and control improvements
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams within the organisation
* Strong Microsoft excel skills and proficient in other Microsoft packages
* Exceptional attention to detail and be able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
* Ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
