Job Description
Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Salary:  £30,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm
 
COMPANY PROFILE
 
Our client based in Welwyn Garden City is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team! The successful will be working within the Finance Department, reporting into the Accounts Manager and Finance Director.
 
You will be responsible for credit card reconciliations, sales invoices, and subcontractor weekly payroll.
 
As this is within the Construction industry, knowledge with CIS payments would be beneficial.
 
SKILLS REQUIRED
 
·Strong knowledge of Xero accounts or similar system
·Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
·Organised and good time keeping skills
·CIS knowledge would be an advantage
·Excellent communicator and team player
·Experience within a similar role
·Have a good understanding of HMRC Regulations
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
·Bank reconciliation
·Process subcontractor payments on Xero
·Credit card reconciliation
·Process expenses
·Complete new credit application forms to be reviewed
·Set up new subcontractors and customer on Xero
·CIS returns
·Monthly payroll
·VAT submissions to HMRC
·Credit control on occasion
·Other ad-hoc duties when required
