Job Description
Lead Platform Test Engineer – up to 59k

Office based once per fortnight (Multiple UK sites)

Automation Testing, Writing Test Scripts, Multiple Projects, Implementing QA frameworks, ADO

My client are a world leader in insurance software as a service. They are looking for an experienced Lead Tester to join their team. You will be an important part of creating the automation test strategy. You will advise on the best frameworks and technologies to use. You will be a subject matter expert and will define their architecture moving forward.

As a result, your current stack and experience is of less importance to them as you will bring your recommendations with you. You will be mapping out the decisions moving forward on which stack will be adopted.

They are moving from a manual solution to an automated one. You will need to understand Test Automation strategies, defining a collaborative process and fitting tools to the technology that is already in use.

They are moving into an Azure DevOps Environment, so experience of Azure DevOps is desired.

You will need to be able to write automated test scripts from scratch and deliver the end to end STLC process. They work with Atlassian toolset, Bamboo, ADO code repositories and have their own data centre currently. There is a lot of manual automation which will be transformed to mainly Automated moving forward. You only need minimal manual experience, Automation should be your strength.

The job:

Defining the Automation process and strategy

Work as part of the Scrum Team to deliver user stories

Determine the correct tooling for the role

Understand Azure DevOps

CI/CD

API Testing

UI Automation

Advise on the correct solution for quality reporting and dashboards

Experience:

QA leadership experience

Cloud Certifications advantageous

Implementing QA Automation frameworks and Performance Engineering to support CI/CD

Training and delegating Automation tasks and processes
