Job Description
MCF Recruitment are thrilled to be working with one of the fastest growing, independent Accountancy firms in the region. We are looking for candidates to fill multiple Accountant & Bookkeeper positions within an extremely friendly and helpful practice based on Team Valley, Gateshead.
Role & Responsibilities:
* preparing sole trader, partnership and limited company statutory accounts
* preparing individual and company tax returns
* reviewing client accounts from software including Cloud based services, Sage online, Xero, Excel etc
* preparing and submitting VAT returns
* liaising with clients to obtain information, provide advice and complete final meeting with clients in order to finalise accounts
* assisting colleagues in preparation of financial accounts inc reviewing work and providing training where necessary
* providing clients with tax advice and general queries
Requirements:
* Practical experience of working within an Accountancy firm is ESSENTIAL
* ACCA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience
* Experience with Cloud based services, Sage online, Xero, Excel etc
* Currently working in an accountancy practice with a minimum of 3 years experience
Salary and benefits:
* Salary up to £40,000 FTE (depending on experience and qualifications)
* 33 days holiday including bank holidays
* FTE is 8.30am-5pm, with an hour lunch and a 2pm finish on Friday
Part time applicants are also welcomed
