Job Description
A successful, independent and modern firm of Accountants are seeking a Senior Accountant, ideally qualified (ACA / ACCA), part qualified or qualified by their experience for a varied and rewarding job.

The firm are based within a short commute of Nottingham, Grantham, Melton Mowbray and Newark.

We know the firm well and they are a highly professional yet personable and friendly team to work within.

The role is one of a true all-rounder and will incorporate Accounts Production, Corporate Tax computations, Audit work on larger corporate entities (this is flexible, dependent on what you are happy to do), Management Accounts for clients, Advisory work with clients on areas such as succession planning, Tax & IT & any ad hoc duties. The firm are largely paperless with up to date and commonly used IT packages.

This is a crucial role in the firm and the pay reflects this. The salary paid will depend totally on the person hired but it will definitely be competitive and offer good reward to the right person.

There will be a lot of client contact and some work at client's premises. This can be involved and very interesting due to it's variety and close work alongside the client. It may include anything from the basics of VAT to advanced management accounts related work, imports / exports, cash flows, consolidated accounts, charities work etc.

The firm can definitely mould this job to suit the person. It can include more or less audit work dependent on the skills and preference of the chosen candidate. Any audit work will be supported by a junior doing all of the basic testing exercises. Most of the firm's audits also require accounts preparation and then an audit so the audits undertaken are more varied, predominantly local and less "box ticking" than in some larger firms
