The company

We have a fantastic new Accountant role working for a unique Wiltshire based group of businesses. 

The role

The Finance Department are currently looking for an experienced Accountant to work with the Finance Manager and rest of the Finance Team.

Responsibilities

Preparing management reporting for main business entities in accordance with agreed policies and procedures including commentary, analysis against budgets and forecasts
Maintaining robust cash flow forecasts to enable appropriate planning
Preparing statutory financial statements for main business entities
Reviewing posting monthly accounting entries, including prepayments and accruals
Reviewing the integrity of the financial numbers including preparing balance sheet reconciliations and other month end schedules
Reviewing accounts analysis and preparing VAT and corporation tax returns for the tax team to review
Reviewing management accounts including commentary and analysis for smaller entities
Supporting the preparation of budget information
Providing support on major projects, such as business structure changes, acquisition, building and refurbishment of preperties and other assets
Supporting the Finance Manager and Head of Finance with other ad hoc tasks as required
The person

Qualified or part qualified with the desire to continue professional qualifications
Previous experience in an accountant role
IT literate
Commitment to meeting demanding reporting deadlines
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
Confident communication skills
Willing and able to take responsibility and ownership for tasks
Able to work autonomously when required or as part of a team
Keen to suggest improvements to current way of working
Open and flexible to the changing demands of the organisation
Salary

£40,000 to £50,000 plus discretionary bonus, pension, life assurance, private medical and dental, free parking, and 27 days holiday
