Job Description
Vibrance has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our exceptional Self-Directed Support (SDS) Services team in Southend-On-Sea, Essex. You will join us on a full-time, permanent contract and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £28,522 – £30,176 per annum, plus benefits.
Our SDS Payroll Team provides payroll for over 1500 individual employers in receipt of direct payments, empowering them to have choice and control over how their health and support needs are met.

About the Senior Payroll Officer role:
Working as part of our office-based team in Southend, you will coordinate and support the delivery of an efficient, effective, pro-active, payroll function, covering both Direct Payment and internal payroll. For this reason, we especially welcome individuals with an understanding of the issues faced by people with disabilities.
Your main duties as our Senior Payroll Officer will be to:
Coordination of all payroll cycles
Ensuring resources are in place to meet all deadlines, including payroll payments, HMRC and pension
Entering and authorising payments on banking system(s)
Liaising with various stakeholders including employers, PAs, funding organisations (both health and social care), HMRC and pension providers
Maintaining data protection and adhering to GDPR legislation
To deputise in the absence of the Payroll Manager
Skills and experience of our ideal Senior Payroll Officer
Experience of running end-to-end payroll
Experience of supervising/overseeing a team
Good organisational skills
Strong attention to detail
Intermediate/advance Excel skills
Commitment to empowering disabled and older people
