Senior Finance Business Partner – Investment & Assets

£44,748 per annum

Fully Remote

Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Senior Finance Business Partner to join a large, well known, not for profit housing association. This is a permanent contract.

The overall purpose of the Senior Finance Business Partner will be to deliver an effective Business Partnering service to Investment and Asset Directorate, providing a management accounting service ensuring effective reporting, planning and forecasting. The Senior Finance Business Partner will lead and be responsible for the integrity of the asset accounting data and management information relating to major investment and all group assets.

Responsibilities of the Senior Finance Business Partner will include:

Provide management information and accounting support, adopting a business partnering approach, for the Asset Directorate particularly in relation to major investment schemes and decarbonisation works
Lead on the production of the Statutory Accounts, the financial plans and budgets, management information and regular management accounts and ad hoc queries for all Group companies, with particular focus on major investment and fixed assets
Lead on the financial forecasting and completion of statutory returns such as the FVA, SDA and FFR and co-ordinate the maintenance and reconciliation of the Security Register and Fixed Asset Register
Keep up to date with changes in the Housing SORP and any other relevant legislation and regulatory requirementsThe ideal candidate will:

Have sound overall knowledge of Accounting Regulation and experience in accounting and componentisation of assets within a complex Housing organisation
Be an effective communicator, both verbal and written, including negotiation and influencing skills, with an ability to handle difficult and/or sensitive conversations and queries appropriately
Have the ability to analyse, review and report on complex financial matters such as compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements
Have proven skill in the identification of requirements, recording and analysis of data and information, and identification of solutions
Have attention to detail and excellent organisational skills with a high level of skill in the use of IT
