Job Description
Business Systems Support Administrator

Bedford based – Hybrid working (circa 1 day per week, in the office)

Salary – 30k – plus, up to 10% bonus

Joining one of the largest Insurance Brokers in the UK who now place over £6bn a year on behalf of more than 1.7 million clients, who are served by over 5,000 colleagues in 160 locations across the UK and Ireland.

The business has two core ‘Business Systems’ which are used across the organisation. You will be joining the team who support this business critical, core business applications – helpdesk queries are raised through ServiceNow, and you will assist users on the system, for example:

Raising transactions, system changes, helping with invoices, adding joiners, movers and leavers, general system administration. These Business systems and very similar to large company Finance, HR, ERP or CRM systems or in the case, Insurance systems.

It is NOT essential that you have experience with Insurance systems – many core business systems are similar, so experience in a similar support or business system administration role is highly desirable, ideally from a regulated sector – Financial Services, Insurance, maybe the Public Sector for example.

We are moving towards changing these Business Applications to Salesforce, and we use ITIL to manage the service delivery.

You will be part of the team who investigate, analyse, and prioritise incidents and service requests for business systems. You will investigate and offer resolution in a timely manner of any issues which arise. Conducting routine and ad-hoc system housekeeping duties, whilst ensure good communication with the Business Systems Support Manager, IS Systems Manager and other colleagues as appropriate.

Any previous experience of BI tools or MI analysis – using SQL, would be highly desired
