We have another great opening to work with a first-class business based in the heart of Redditch that is seeking to appoint a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their division.

The role of the Sales Ledger Clerk with be reporting to the Sales Ledger Team Leader in the Accounts Receivable team who has a vast amount of experience within this field and will act as a great mentor to this person.

You will also be involved with several senior stakeholders and therefore will expose you to different situations and scenarios where you will learn and build proper relationships.

The Role

As the Sales Ledger Clerk, you are the key person in raising sales invoices where required as well as credits ensuring the utmost accuracy that things just look right.

From processing to sending and reviewing with clients, you’ll be the go-to person and intermediary pricing weekly sales reports to your Accounts Receivable department.

You’ll be reconciling credit card sales from the operational teams where you will get a chance to build relationships with your colleagues and from that posting to your respective journals.

You’ll be getting involved in lots of different things daily as you will be required to work closely with your colleagues on open and shared spreadsheets and cover other people’s work – It’s called being a good egg! Look after them and they will look after you – simple right?

What you’ll need

First, you’ll need a good personality and find it easy to build relationships with people you don’t know. It’s never easy walking into a new job and not knowing anyone but you’ll need the confidence to reach out to new people who will be your colleagues firstly but may end up becoming close friends – The culture in this business is really important to them!

From an experience point of view, you’ll need experience working within an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/Sales Ledger team used to high volume transactions. is a must (obviously) but if you are self-disciplined and want to build a profile for yourself in a sought-after team, this really is a great chance to do it.

You’ll be a whiz on Microsoft excel and be able to perform VLOOKUPs as well as pivot tables which would be a huge advantage.

Preferably AAT qualified or studying towards
