Sales and Purchase Ledger Assistant Job in Kings Hill, Kent

Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Sales and Purchase Ledger Assistant for our client based in Kings Hill

Permanent
Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Up to £30k per annum

Job Responsibilities
Ensure that sales invoices are raised promptly and accurately
Ensure that sales invoice requests are properly prepared
Understand the VAT status of our clients services
Raise sales invoices and post to the ledger
Dispatch invoices via customers' preferred method
Ensure debtor days are maintained within the bench-marked level:
Ensure cash received is promptly and accurately recorded in the sales ledger
Generate customer statements and reminder letters.
Telephone and correspond with customers to obtain their payment.
Prepare regular aged debtors report for review by line management
Ensure that amounts due to suppliers are recorded promptly and accurately on the purchase ledger:
Registering of purchase invoices in Sage

Experience
Previous Sales ledger and credit control experience
Purchase ledger experience
Experience of VAT
Excel and word
Familiar with accounting software

This role is subject to a DBS and credit check
