Purchase Ledger Clerk – Accounts Assistant
£22,000 DOE

This superb opportunity at a market-leading chemical company with a great portfolio of products.
You will be working with invoices, making supplier payments via online banking programmes as well as Ad-hoc reporting and analyses of expense codes.

Applications are encouraged from those with experience in an accounts payable environment and also obtain SAP, Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge. Candidates should also have good organisational and time-management abilities and be able to identify numerical errors.
 
Your duties and responsibilities will include;

Checking Invoices against delivery notes/purchase orders.
Input supplier invoices into SAP.
Making supplier payments (online banking program).
Creating new supplier accounts.
Distribution of monthly credit card statements/recording of all credit card payments.
Recording all petty cash payments.
Recording all direct debit payments and checking bank statements daily.
Post client remittances received on daily basis.
Submission of invoices/credits invoice finance.
Completion and submission of invoice discounting reconciliation for ledgers.
Arranging new credit insurance limits for new customers.
Ad-hoc reporting/analysis of expense codes.
General filing. 
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate the below skills and experience.
 
Skills Required:

Experience within an accounts payable environment.
SAP, MS Excel & Word.
Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors.
Good organisational and time-management abilities. 
The companies dream candidate will also possess AAT or equivalent basic accounting qualification
