Job Description
Accounts Assistant
Monday to Friday on ON SITE – Rural Maidstone (close to Leeds Castle)
8.30 to 5pm
As the Accounts Assistant, you'll be organising working as part of a busy team who are part of a growing business in the fresh produce sector, managing a heavy workload where being methodical and detailed is key. Without you undertaking reconciling supplier statements, they would fall behind with invoicing and being paid, its a really important role. You'll be :
* Ass Account Assistant you will be responsible for reconciling supplier statements – its a fairly lengthy and complex process
* Posting Purchase Ledger invoices (c100 at any one time) to the bespoke accounting system and using Excel
* Checking and reviewing Consignment notes, Purchase Orders and Overheads to ensure accuracy when invoice is raised
* Managing and reducing the Query inbox – and seeking ways to improve the process that will reduce debt
* Running reports
* Regularly updating clients and suppliers and your colleagues
To help you understand the nature of the Purchase Ledger work you'll do, it's useful to know that my client is within the fresh food sector and have an international reach – business subsidiaries in Europe and Hungary. With this in mind you will learn the complexities of a mutli national business that has seasonal trends – it can get VERY busy and being able to demonstrate your experience of being an organised Accounts Assistant and able to prioritise your workload will be welcome. The team work very closely together and you would report to a Senior Manager of this business and have support of the wider Finance team and FD.
