My client is a growing business in the heart of Salford Quays; with a vibrant office space and a great work environment.

An exciting job has arisen to join them working as a Purchase Ledger | Accounts Assistant, working in this new combined role within a supportive pre-existing team.

Job description for Purchase Ledger | Accounts Assistant

* Manage end of month statement reconciliations.

* Attend monthly meetings with management accountant regarding payments and statement reconciliations.

* Assist with month end reporting, purchase ledger close-off and year end audit (from accounts payable perspective).

* Process, investigate and subsequently resolve supplier invoice queries/credit notes.

* Allocate and post payments, keeping ledgers clear and up to date.

* Liaise with colleagues in the finance team regarding any ad-hoc duties, such as bank reconciliations and processing bank payments.

* Allocate outstanding cash and assist in trade creditor project.

Job skills required for Purchase Ledger | Accounts Assistant

* You will have experience in a similar purchase ledger/ accounts assistant role.

* Computer literate with practise in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Sage.

* Good organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

* Strong communicative qualities, both verbal and written.
