Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Merseyside for a Principal Accountant on a temporary basis. The postholder will support income generation, management of the Local Authority companies, advise on commercial ventures including financial modelling, analysis of business plans and setting out financial choices clearly for decision. They will also develop positive relationships with stakeholders and control and account for the Local Authority's investments in companies and ventures.

Ideal Candidate

Professional Accounting qualification or equivalent
Experience of working at a senior level in a Local Government or Public Sector environment
Good project management skills and experience of providing strategic and technical advice
