Job Description
I'm currently working alongside a leading organisation in their recruitment of a Part Qualified Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Paying between £30k – £33k based on experience and based in Birmingham.

I'm currently working alongside a leading organisation in their recruitment of a Part Qualified Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Paying between £30k – £33k based on experience and based in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:

To own all postings for either business units or specific areas of the general ledger, ensuring that timely and accurate accounts are produced.
To complete monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts for entities and ensure that strong financial controls are maintained.
To help produce weekly profit and loss and other sales reporting as required.
To help complete year end statutory accounts by ensuring that there are supporting accrual & prepayment year end files for submission to auditors. Work closely with the auditors to ensure year end accounts are finalised to a high standard.
Updating the fixed asset register on a monthly basis.
Provide assistance with the submission of VAT returns on a monthly or quarterly basis where required.
To target efficiency improvements in all processes such that ever-increasing time can be devoted to value added finance work.
To assist where appropriate within other accounting tasks and respond to reasonable requests concerning financial matters. This will involve multi-skilling to support other members of the team.

The Successful candidate will have the following:

Part qualified accountant (ACMA/ACCA/ACA) with minimum 1 year relevant experience in an SME environment.
Experience of management accounting and month end processes
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience in ERP software
Multi-site experience is a preference
Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to switch between a commercially diverse range of entities and manage multiple deliverables
Good interpersonal skills and a team player
