Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Management Accountant to join the Finance team for a fixed term period of 12 months, at DENSO Marston in Shipley.  The successful candidate will manage the Fixed Asset Ledger end to end, in addition to playing a key role in the department and business, being involved in a much wider remit than pure finance and accounting.

Mon – Thurs 8:30am to 5:00pm
(Flexibility for 30 minutes either side of the core hours Monday to Thursday)
Fri – 8:30am to 1:30pm
 
Key Responsibilities

Fixed asset management including creation of asset numbers, tracking, allocation of costs and disposals
Physical audits on plant and machinery in all areas of the manufacturing site
Depreciation calculations for monthly accounts and annual plans
Monthly group reporting on fixed assets
Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts to a tight deadline, and subsequent reporting and variance analysis
Assisting other departments with reporting where necessary
Working with other departments to create bi-annual business plans
Assisting in the financial sections (being the larger part) of annual J-SOX self-assessment (Japanese version of Sarbanes Oxley)
Assisting in preparation of ad-hoc forecasts and estimates
Monthly prepayments and accruals
National statistics surveys
Liaising with auditors during the annual audits for both statutory accounts and tax analysis
Creation of weekly cash forecasts
FX and treasury reporting to group
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Ad-hoc duties as and when requiredSkills/Experience

Commercially minded and hands-on, with focus on adding value to the business in all areas, not just finance
Strong people-person, capable of communicating at all levels with a wide range of stakeholders
Experience gained in a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical skills
Excellent spreadsheet skills
Strong system skillsQualifications

Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
