Job Description
Simpson Judge are working with a client based in Wythenshawe who are looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner into their established team. The purpose of this role is to provide financial and commercial support to the business. Working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner and Finance Director, you will be responsible for producing management accounts, analysing monthly performance against budget and reforecast. The successful candidate will provide revenue assurance and proactively make suggestions to achieve budgets and ensure financial management and control is maintained. This role will suit someone ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience with a background in management accounts and analysis. This is a hybrid role, 2-3 days working from home and flexible working hours.
Responsibilities:
* Working closely and liaising with budget holders, providing advice and ensure timely response is provided and acting as a key point of contact on all aspects of financial performance, including monthly performance review meetings and providing accurate and timely financial information with KPI's and commentary
* Budget production, monitoring and management, including; supporting income and producing business plans and forecasts, advising on cost control initiatives and supporting budget holders to make best use of resources
* Monitoring capital expenditure versus budget
* Lead and prepare month end Business Unit reporting packs, including financials, non-financials, performance issues, risks and opportunities.
* Variance and what if analysis – comparing actuals to budget, forecast and
* prior year and communicating findings to senior management
* Drafting yearly budget and quarterly forecasts
* Ensuring accuracy of accountable cost centre financials and reviewing actuals vs budget/forecast to close the accounts
* Attending monthly meetings with Business Unit Management and presenting financial information, including challenging budget holders
* Supporting with investment appraisals
* Supporting with annual financial statements audit and liaising closely with auditors
Requirements:
* ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified, Qualified by Experience will also be considered
* Minimum 2 years' experience in Finance
* Experience in a Business Partner role and supporting Budget Holders
* Strong management accounts preparation experience
* Strong Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables etc)
* Business World Unit 4 experience would be advantageous but not essential
* Education sector experience would be advantageous but not essential
