Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Payroll Administrator to provide support to a busy payroll department in Plymouth, working for a National Utilities company. This is a two to three month temporary role (with an immediate start) to help with a project and the role will involve a great deal of scanning and data entry tasks. There may be potential to be extended the length of the contract. As a Payroll Administrator you will be mainly responsible for:
Processing and checking of documentation and associated update of the payroll system
Scanning and data entry tasks
Processing of temporary data for individual and batch update of the payroll system
Support on payroll administration and system maintenance to the Payroll Manager.
Assessment of occupational and statutory sickness, and maternity entitlement and allowances, and the application of the relevant regulations. Including the appropriate communication to staff and Employee Relations teams.
Communication with staff, Employee Relations and third parties in respect of salary data and the resolution of queries, verbally and in writing, as appropriate.
Own work scheduling with minimum supervision
To be successful in this role of Temporary Payroll Administrator you will have proven experience as an Administrator or in a busy data entry role and you will have a love for numbers, or be used to entering numerical data.
You must have excellent communication skills and be able to co-ordinate workloads and work under pressure. You must have excellent IT skills and be accurate when entering data.
You will also need to possess a dynamic nature to work in this busy environment. Our client is specifically seeking candidates with a first class customer service approach to all aspects of this demanding and varied role.
