Job Description
Role Overview

We are currently looking for a management accountant to join our financial services client in Bournemouth. You'll be working as part of a busy finance team the role to will assist with all aspects of management accounts preparation and ad hoc finance projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as part of a team carrying out month end procedures across a number of different entities.
* Timely preparation of reports and commentary for management.
* Preparation of reconciliation files and prompt resolution of outstanding items.
* Assistance with ad hoc projects including implementation of accounting procedures for new products and finance systems development.
* Ensure a good control environment is maintained at all times and procedures are well documented
* To undertake training as directed
* To attend meetings as directed.
* To undertake any other tasks as directed.

Skills Required

Essential:
* Proficient with standard accounting procedures such as preparation of accruals, manual journals and reconciliations
* Understanding of issues relevant to financial services
* Skilled at using Excel
* Forges strong relationships internally and externally with a collaborative approach to working
* Self-motivated and able to prioritise workload with minimal supervision
* Able to maintain quality and focus whilst under pressure
* Flexible approach to working, including willingness to work additional hours as required in order to meet deadlines
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Desirable:
* Previous experience with Access Dimensions an advantage
* Plc or large group experience
* Good knowledge of best practice accounting control environment

Qualifications Required

Essential:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
