Job Description
Exciting opportunity for a trainee Finance Assistant to work for a market leading Design and Manufacture business based in West Sussex.

The successful candidate will join the Finance Team, assisting with the month end processes and reporting, delivering accurate and timely information. The opportunity is for a proactive focused individual to help improve the performance of the Finance Function, delivering information to aid the Business, challenging current processes and methodologies.

You will be responsible for:

Working with Finance Assistant(s) and Purchasing to ensure accurate processing of supplier invoices through MRP system to Sage.
Assisting with creating twice monthly Supplier Payment Run for authorisation by FC / FD.
Supporting the Finance Assistant(s) with reconciliation of supplier statements, processing supplier payments and issuing remittance advices.
Working with Finance Assistant(s) with entries in Sage; bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepayments and accruals and other journals, to produce a monthly trial balance.
Assistance with the production of ad-hoc financial information as and when required.
Assist with processing Sales Invoices through MRP system to Sage and communication with Customers regarding these invoices as necessary.

You:

Studying towards an accountancy qualification (AAT)
A well organised individual with excellent eye for detail
Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities
Driven to achieve results accurately and on time, to internal stakeholders and customers
Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively to achieve the desired results
A good understanding of Excel.
