Job Description
The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are currently working with one of Scotlands most prestigious manufacturing brands in the recruitment of an interim financial accountant/company accountant for an initial 3 month contract but with a view to rolling monthly contract there-after.

The role is to cover a period of absenteeism, however with the order book growing, our client envisages the role will be for a considerable period of time, although not permanent.

The role will sit within an established finance team and will be accountable to the group finance director, however on a day to day basis you will provide support to the financial controller.

This role will be office based for the majority of the contract owing to the nature of the business and the specific role. Applicants who are not entitled to work in the UK will not be considered.

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide varied and broad support to the finance team in relation to business as usual accounting processes. You will be a resource that will be pulled from task to task as the business requires.

No day will be the same however you can expect to be responsible for the following as well as other tasks;
Cash flow forecasting for the business as well as analysis of margin improvement/cost of sale improvement.
Complex balance sheet reconciliations with a view to investigating financial anomalies.
Assistance with the year end process including review of general ledger entries.
Work with the finance team to review current processes with a view to enhancing current processes.
Assisting the financial controller & group director in the adherence of financial controls and their robust nature.
Work with senior factory production staff and associated stakeholders in the capture of financial information that will aid decision making.
Work on stock validation process ensuring fixed asset register (mainly around stock), is appropriately recorded/is reflected in the balance sheet.

The Requirements
We would ideally seek applications from professionally qualified ACCA/CIMA accountants, however part qualified/qualified by experience applicants will be considered (only if they have relevant experience – 5 to 10 years experience). We are seeking flexible and reliable applicants as this role will be varied and will evolve. We are looking for an individual who is available immediately or at a maximum of 1 weeks’ notice. Our client has an exceptional reputation and we are seeking the very best accountants on the Scottish Central Belt. We would expect the systems and in particular Excel use to be at an advanced level.
