Job Description
My Client based just outside of Norwich are looking for an experienced motor and household insurance advisor
£23 – 30k DOE

* Respond to enquiries from clients, prospective clients and insurers received by phone, letter, e-mail or in person in a courteous, helpful and timely manner.

* Ensure that all information required by clients or underwriters is obtained and communicated.

* Identify clients’ requirements and provide a New Business quotation for Motor/Household/Travel to fulfil their needs.

* Ensure system records of the clients’ circumstances and objectives are accurately created for new business and updated following all contact with the client.

* Using the information gathered, obtain quotations, using quotation system and by referring to insurers if required.

* Decide most appropriate quote in terms of price and cover to meet the applicant’s needs.

* Discuss any additional covers to ensure that all insurance requirements are satisfied.

Skills & Knowledge

Essential:

Recent Insurance experience

Understanding of the general principles and practices of insurance and their application
Good knowledge of policy wordings and covers of all classes of insurance dealt with

Full appreciation of FCA, Data Protection and other financial crime regulations
Strong computer skills, specifically in using the Microsoft Office suite

Desirable:
Experience of the Open GI System
CII Qualified (or working towards)
