Job Description
Impairment Manager – Various location/Hybrid/Remote – Competitive Salary – J12339 – Up to (£62K outside of London) £90K London

Would you like to work for one of the largest bank in the UK? This is an excellent chance to join their Impairment team.
You would be overseeing and applying constructive challenge and judgement to the impairment reporting, forecasting and stress testing across the bank's portfolio. You would lead a team to provide insightful, high quality analysis, which explains customer credit performance. You will be interpreting movements of impairment expected loss models across a variety of Retail lending portfolios – managing, tracking and explaining the impairment line to budget to our Finance and business partners.

The role:
• You'd lead a team to provide insightful, high quality analysis which explains credit impairment reporting, forecasting and stress testing performance, whilst executing control across all Retail lending portfolios.
• You'd be managing, tracking and explaining the impairment forecasts and stress tests to Senior Executives, and our Finance and business partners, with a large amount of cases ultimately for delivery to Regulatory bodies
• You'll use your commercial acumen to produce actionable and tailored recommendations to colleagues, management and business partners across a range of teams, to shape our bank's credit risk while supporting the growth aspirations of the business.
• We'll expect you to actively identify and pursue opportunities to enhance insight tools and the communication of results across teams – for example, by championing the automation of tools which reveal portfolio data interactions, or by employing a top down communication style when delivering monthly reporting.
• You'll act as a source of professional expertise to mitigate the potential for risk, and ensure systems and processes are fit for purpose.

Skills:
• Highly organised and motivated individual who is passionate about data insights and can explain complex issues in simple terms
• Highly analytical, demonstrating this with a good degree in a very numerate subject,
• Able to work at a fast pace and have an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Good Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.
• Able to communicate conclusions and suggestions clearly, using superb written and verbal interpersonal skills, and have a high level of creativity, drive, innovation and initiative.
