Job Description
We are inviting applications for Head of Credit Administration for an International Global Bank based in City London. This position is a permanent and reporting directly to Head Credit with the Bank .

The Bank has a well-established presence in the UK and the Board and management have developed a clear strategy and identified areas requiring Business Developments and performances in order to deliver a positive performance for the future.

Key Responsibilities :

Responsible for key Credit Administration functions of: a) Credit Documentation, b) Limit & Collateral Management.
Responsible for ensuring execution of standard operating procedures and processes in compliance with Bank policy & procedures as well as applicable external legislations and regulations. To build and maintain independent credit administration function to facilitate effective governance and controls capable of identifying, assessing, monitoring, measuring and controlling documentation & collateral pre and post facility granting.

To establish key risk indicators (KRIs) for Documentation turnaround times, Limit recording, Collateral monitoring & escalation.
To establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive team efficiency and effectiveness;

To facilitate the development of clearly defined & updated policies & procedures for credit administration;

Provide input whenever reviews of process/products/credit facility applications are undertaken; provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the compliance function as and when required.
You are required to comply at all times with your contract of employment and all policies, procedures, rules, handbook and similar documents applicable to you as an employee of Bank. As a senior manager you should have particular regard to the following responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end CAD process
Coach & recommend training to team members & relevant staff for a) Credit Documentation, b) Limit & Collateral Management
Establish and deliver on service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure balance between timely delivery and risk mitigation.
Proactively highlight any capacity constraints by way of capacity review (as appropriate) with the Head of Credit to ensure that CAD cab deliver under the SLAs
Establish key outsourcing arrangements with Solicitors & Surveyors including setting up the approved panel, optimizing cost & control and setting SLAs.
Take ownership of reporting requirements internally and externally, specific to CAD.
Review with Head of Credit, policies and procedures, to update them in line with Group requirements, industry trends, regulatory requirements, improved risk management & risk mitigation.
Liaison with Branch / Relationship Managers, Operations, Credit Approval, Remedial Management, Finance, Compliance & Audit for processes relating to Credit Administration function.
Work with IT to support Credit Administration related IT Projects.

Skills and Competencies

Credit Structuring skills which are sufficiently robust to challenge proposed structures & suggest alternatives to improve risk mitigation. These can be evidenced from the job holder's contribution to the Credit Committee meetings.
Understanding of loan & security documentation to assess and mitigate risk evidenced by the leadership given to the CAD team and the incidence of no major internal and external audit findings
Proven management skills to ensure that responsibilities are appropriately apportioned across the CAD team and tasks completedQualifications and Experience Required

Credit Administration & process experience with Property Finance & SME banking product knowledge. (At-least 5 years of relevant experience).
Strong understanding of Credit documentation, Security perfection, valuation methodologies, collateral management and relevant laws and regulations
Sound understanding of key risks (documentation, collateral, transaction & other related risks) arising from commercial credit accounts.
Experience with process and technology solutions for risk mitigation & control
