Job Description
Financial Controller / Mid level Management Accountant to work for a company based near Southampton, they are a specialist in the construction, fit out and offsite interiors. Company turnover c £50m and have been established for over 15 years, they have very close links with a major homewares store group, and have a joinery and metal work manufacturing facility.

* Responsibilities for the Financial Controller

* Provision of a schedule of financial responsibilities and deadlines

* Delivering the financial aspects of business plans as agreed with Line Manager

* Preparation of and reporting on annual budgets, sales forecasts and cash flow forecasts

* Preparation of monthly management accounts incorporating variance analysis and advising on actions

* Managing and maintaining all financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems

* Preparation of statutory returns in line with statutory regulations and liaising with external bodies

* Cash flow management including controlling income, payment authorisation and timely cash flow reporting and advising on actions

* Identifying and modelling the financial implications of current and future potential actions including risk assessments

* Researching and reporting on financial factors influencing business performance

* Developing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk

* Proactively conducting reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities

* Identifying and providing financial training to employees as required

Associate member of relevant professional body ideally (CIMA) or (ACCA)
