Job Description
Robert Walters are excited to be representing a hugely successful professional services business as they look to appoint an ambitious Financial Accountant to join their growing group finance team.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will assist in the production of management accounts, budgets and management information in accordance with internal & group reporting deadlines. In addition, you will be responsible for the implementation and ownership of a robust rolling cash forecast process.
The role:
To assist in the preparation and production of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, including cash forecasts, in accordance with agreed deadlines.
Challenge management and assumptions appropriately to ensure budgets and forecasts are accurate.
To support periodic management accounts/variance analysis in accordance with agreed deadlines and controls.
Support in the preparation of month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
Support monthly and quarterly group consolidation including group reporting pack collation and submission.
To assist in the improvement and development of relevant and accurate management and accounting information delivered to operational management and heads of department.
Provide financial support to non-finance managers.
Support the annual group audit process.
Develop and implement a rolling cash forecast process.
Recommend improvement to efficiency, accuracy and automation of the cash flow forecasting process.
Cashflow variance reporting. You as the successful individual:
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
Experience in manipulating and managing large quantities of data using Excel or similar analytical tools.
Ability to think logically and consider relevant aspects, with strong analytical skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong Communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
Proactive attitude.
Ability to organize own workload and meet deadlines. This role requires a self-motivated and focused individual with the ability to succeed within a busy, varied role offering a mix of accounting, analysis and commercial work with a hugely successful businesses group function.
