Job Description
Financial Accountant, ACCA part/AAT qualified, Biggleswade, to £45,000 + Study

A high profile role which will contribute to the success of this multinational business by developing and effectively managing the company budget.

As the Financial Accountant, your role will facilitate the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports whilst ensuring that all financial practices are within the framework for regulatory compliance. Your focus will be in line with the company’s key result areas: Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership and your day to day responsibilities will include:

* Assisting in the production of the yearly company budget

* Ensuring that actual vs. budgeted costs are monitored and controlled

* Supporting Financial Management with treasury, corporate tax, VAT and all statutory reporting

* Production of accounts to include monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, tax returns

* Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts accurately on a monthly basis

* Managing the fixed asset register

* Developing and maintaining a system which controls debtor and creditor functions

* Developing the profit and loss process to provide a tool, allowing transparency to the business

* Effectively communicating the financial performance of the business, on a monthly basis, to the Board of Directors

* Maintaining system chart of accounts, BI reporting and interface with group reporting systems
