A leading Global Investment Bank is looking to hire a specialist in the area of Financial Control and Risk. With exposure to Trade life-cycles, this person will have a strong understanding of compliance regulations.
You will be able to undertake testing of controls to validate the design, operating effectiveness and sustainability of controls operated by the business. This will include challenging the control self-assessments performed annually by Business Units and Functions

You will be able to undertake testing of controls to validate the design, operating effectiveness and sustainability of controls operated by the business. This will include challenging the control self-assessments performed annually by Business Units and Functions.
Key activities will include:
Delivering Controls Testing reviews, approve working papers and draft / final reports
Executing product and thematic control testing reviews across the BI businesses
Landing key messages and agree draft / final reports with stakeholders
Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
Undertaking planning, execute Design Effectiveness Assessment / Operating Effectiveness Testing
Articulating verbally and write Controls Testing reports with minimum supervision
Considered applicants will be:
Undergraduate degree or relevant business experience
Extensive experience in one or more of the following: Internal/External Audit; Operational Risk Management; or Risk and Control related discipline
Experience of working in a Bank or Financial Services preferably in one or more areas of Markets E.g. Macro, Equities, Credit, Fixed Income Financing and Securitized Products
Good understanding of risk and control assessment techniquesAdditional required knowledge / skills:
Specialist Risk and/or Control-related qualification – formal accreditation / qualification relating to audit, risk and/or control etc
Broad knowledge of the Financial Services regulatory environment
Proven experience with data analytics tools and techniques
Proven prior experience in team leadership and people management
