12399 – Financial Controller/Group Accountant Job Spec

Location: Leicester  Salary £65000 to £80,000

Summary

Our client – an expanding, successful family-run imports & distribution group of companies with turnover of circa £50m – are seeking an experienced, qualified accountant to lead their finance team on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance function and ensuring all aspects of financial reporting and compliance are managed effectively. Key responsibilities include:

Liaising with the Managing Director about expansion projects and commercial decision making,
Production of budgets and monthly management accounts,
Cashflow forecasting and monitoring,
Currency awareness,
VAT reporting including Intrastats,
Workplace pensions and payroll,
Managing a small finance team.
Good IT Skills including MS Office would be an advantage, together with a hands-on approach to this varied and challenging position. Salary: £65,000 to £80,000 negotiable, dependent on experience.
