Job Description
Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently partnered with a well-established manufacturing business based in Sheffield to assist in the recruitment of a committed Assistant FP&A Accountant to join their close knit and friendly finance team.

The Assistant FP&A Accountant will provide Finance support to the Operations teams and will be responsible for the delivery of the following services across a number of operational areas.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Assistant FP&A Accountant will include:

* Reconciliation of Asset, labour and material bookings to customer products
* Ensuring all direct costs associated with production are booked to job operations in the (ERP) system on a weekly basis
* Assist the Financial Controller in preparation of forward-looking data to assist budget and forecast preparation
* Workflow update & recoveries
* Recoveries forecast
* Margin forecast
* Variable manufacturing costs, especially Staff utilisation, Energy costs and Consumables
* Fixed manufacturing costs, especially Works salaries, R&M, Customer claims, P&M utilisation
* Central Overhead analysis
* Staff Cost analysis – Overtime and Absence
* Preparation of new KPI pack
* Demonstrate the highest ethical standards and exemplify the company values and
behaviours
* Other ad hoc duties as directed by the FP&A Accounting team

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

* Working towards AAT qualification
* Advanced excel and MS Office with strong excel data manipulation skills, utilising pivot tables, VLOOKUP and Sumif formulas
* Manage and interpret high volumes of financial data
* Production of labour reports and accurate / timely analysis of labour utilisation
* Diligent influencer with strong communication skills both verbal and written
* Good teamwork ethic and flexible approach
* Self-motivated with an appetite for learning
