Assistant Accountant| Newtown Area |Contract | £20-£25,000 DOE (negotiable)

Immediate opportunity available for an experienced Assistant Accountant to work as part of an additional resource team with the opportunity of a hybrid working pattern

The Company

Our client are undergoing a system implementation and require immediate support for their existing finance team on a contract basis.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance lead your duties will include:

* Daily review & clearing of Supplier Invoice Exception filters & Line variances

* Daily clearing of any suspense accounts, coding out entries as appropriate

* Weekly review of AR and AP Ledger to identify and action any housekeeping activities

* Work through Daily bank reconciliations to support in the posting of necessary allocations or corrections

* Reconciliation of Supplier Statements

* Aid the Financial Accountants in month end procedures and reporting

The Individual

We are looking for a candidate who can be available at short notice, to work as part of the project team. You will have a good understanding of end-to-end purchase ledger processing, alongside an understanding of accounting entries associated with Purchase ledger transactions, Balance Sheet, P&L and Control Accounts. You will have a decent understanding of excel and ideally have worked on ERP systems.
