Assistant Accountant| Newtown Area |Contract | £30-£35,000 DOE

Immediate opportunity available for an experienced Assistant Accountant to work as part of an additional resource team with the opportunity of a hybrid working pattern

The Company

Our client are undergoing a system implementation and require immediate support for their existing finance team on a contract basis.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance lead your key objective is to identify, analyse and resolve Purchase Ledger transaction posting issues that have occurred during the introduction of a new ERP system. Your tasks will include:

* Identifying and reconciling the individual transactions working from balance sheet accounts and reports

* Assist in creating a process to correct each type of transaction where posting errors have occurred, or the transaction is on hold

* Work through the reconciled list of transactions to make the necessary corrections or support others to do so

* Repeat the reconciliation process regularly to track progress and understand the remaining transactions

The Individual

We are looking for a candidate who can be available at short notice, to work as part of the project team. You will have a good understanding of end-to-end purchase ledger processing, alongside an understanding of accounting entries associated with Purchase ledger transactions, Balance Sheet, P&L and Control Accounts. You will have a decent understanding of excel and ideally have worked on ERP systems.
