Job Description
Mpeople Recruitment are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a market leading, thriving and rapidly growing business based in Swinton.

* Salary: £20,000 – £23,000 dependent on experience

* Location: Clifton, Swinton (M27)

* Hours of work: 09:00 – 17:00, Monday – Friday (can be flexible on hours)

The Accounts Assistant would be responsible for the maintenance of the Purchase Ledger, assisting with month end procedures, conducting weekly payroll in the absence of another team member, and other reporting and administrative duties. Duties would cover:

* Matching of invoices to orders and delivery notes

* Coding and posting purchase invoices

* Monthly supplier statement reconciliations, chase up missing invoices, allocate payments etc

* Liaising with suppliers and dealing with supplier queries

* Company post and banking if required

* Summarising and collating weekly hours for payroll (as required)

* Reviewing and summarise weekly staff expenses as appropriate (as required)

* Assisting with month end close off procedures

* Assisting with collating information on finance projects and year-end audit

* Reporting to the Finance Team Leader

Skills, Experience & Attributes Required:

* Experience within Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable duties is essential

* Experience with Payroll would be advantageous but is not essential

* Experience within a manufacturing business would also be advantageous but is not essential

* A good eye for detail, and able to maintain accuracy within a fast-paced environment

* Problem-solving skills

* A positive and enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude

* A great team-player
