Job Description
Accounts Assistant vacancy – Motor Trade
Location: Canterbury
Salary: Up to £25,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am – 5.30pm, 37.5 hours per week

We are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant for our clients site in the Canterbury area. This is a great opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to work for a well-known Motor trade / Automotive company.

Role Responsibilities for Accounts Assistant
As an experienced Accounts Assistant or Senior Accounts Assistant you will be an integral member of the Accounts/Finance Team.

– Preparing monthly journals, sales and purchase ledgers, reporting and analysing reports and highlighting any anomalies to the relevant line manager
– Bank reconciliation, keep financial track
– Debt management

– Investigate, manage and resolve any queries

– Budget Preparation on a monthly basis
– Invoicing and credit notes to suppliers to be completed in a timely manner, in line with the company policy and all recorded for audit purposes
– Be an effective communicator, whether that be over the phone, via email or via post. Ensure all correspondence is completed within a timely manner.
– Working with your direct team and other colleagues on site to build strong working relationships to ensure queries are dealt with smoothly and efficiently

Requirements:
– Previous accounts experience required
– Previous motor industry experience desirable

– Meticulous attention to detail

– AAT Level 2 or better
