Job Description
Overview

You will be working for a SME business in Alton who is one of the market leaders in their industry. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be part of a team of four where you will be managing the supporting both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Ledgers. This Finance Manager has a proven background of the team’s development and this is a newly created role within the team due to company growth.

You will be joining this client at an exciting time as the company continues to acquire new businesses, but also growth organically. This client is an established business where their reputation leads the way. This business is a multi-faceted business and therefore working within a complex accounting environment.

This will be working within a busy and positively challenging environment, but that will offer great reward. This client has a great company culture you will be joining a medium sized business that offer a very professional working environment.

As the Accounts Assistant, you will:

* Looking after all aspects of Accounts Payable – Processing invoices, coding and matching invoices, reconciling supplier statements etc.

* Looking after all aspects of Accounts Receivable – Raising sales invoices, allocation of cash, reconciling sales invoices etc.

* Assisting with Month end process – Posting Accruals, prepayments, posting journal entries with progression to assist with more in-depth duties.

* Supporting with weekly payroll.

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

* Proven experience and background in accountancy and finance, you will be able to demonstrate your fundamental knowledge across the ledgers, ideally working up to a trial balance.

* Computer literacy – Be able to use Microsoft Office packages

* Sage knowledge would be advantageous.
