We have an excellent opportunity for an Underwriting Support Assistant to join our Professional and Management Risks Renewals team here in Leeds. The role is based within the renewals department who take care of a wide variety of professional, management, cyber and technology renewals. You'll work alongside our Underwriters and Assistant Underwriters and provide them with a high standard of administrative support.
The Underwriting Support Assistant role will involve some telephone work, emails, data entry, using reports, checking renewal information, dealing with brokers, managing diary responses as well as some ad hoc project work.

What you'll be doing:
Providing and maintaining a good standard of technical underwriting support to the renewal team
Accurate and timely input of data into relevant underwriting systems
Liasing with brokers as required
Helping to develop and maintain strong working relationships within the team and wider business
Requesting and reviewing survey reports and issuing risk requirements to brokers
Managing diary items and chasing responses
Following up outstanding renewal information with brokers via phone and email
Deal with internal and external enquiries by email and telephone
Assisting the team and wider business with ad hoc projectsWhat we're looking for:
Excellent written, spoken communication and numerical skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Be computer literate – MS Office as well as have the ability to develop a full understanding and capability of our in-house systems
Be studying for/or be willing to study for CII qualifications – we will fully fund and support you in this qualification
