Location – London
Contract – Long term,15 Months
Monday – Friday remote, with 1-2 days in office per month.
£350-£400 per day

They are now looking for a Tax Manager to join their team –
The UK and Ireland Tax Manager will be responsible for all direct tax activities for the UK and Irish entities of the Group including tax compliance, tax reporting, audits, correspondence with HMRC, transfer pricing, withholding tax, repatriation and all other tax aspects as needed ensuring compliance based upon sound research, analysis and interpretation of tax laws and tax reporting guidance under IFRS and US GAAP. This person will have the opportunity to develop a new best in class UK tax organisation to ensure long-term optimisation of tax strategies in collaboration with the global tax group and business units.
Your main responsibilities in this role
*Responsible for the completion of approximately 45 corporate tax returns including the listed UK group company and work to include all related analysis, research memos and support.
*Responsible for the completion of the tax reporting matters for the quarter and annual reports for the UK group and potentially other countries including the preparation and oversight of the tax expense, deferred taxes, valuation allowances and contingency reserves.
*Opportunity to transition the tax compliance in house from the existing external vendor, working on a software vendor selection process, building new process and controls to have full design ownership and implementation of the new approach.
*Responsible for UK aspects of transfer pricing and ensuring the UK Country by Country reporting file is accurate and filed in a timely manner.
*Managing the Corporate Income Restriction for the group
*Serve as subject matter expert on all tax research projects for the UK ensuring that the tax filing positions are supported by sound research.
*Assist the wider Tax Group with identifying, researching, and implementing tax savings strategies in the UK.
*Preparing the R&D tax credit claims.
*Managing the UK withholding tax position including ensuring the relevant treaty clearance requirements are in place.
*Provide direction and management to outside advisors working on tax projects include M&A activity.
*Understanding compliance guidelines with US GAAP, IFRS and SEC regulations.
*Implement, maintain, and report SOX tax, SAO and Corporate Criminal Offence controls and processes over the UK tax process.
Skills and Experience
*University Degree
*Big 4 experience preferred with practical knowledge of preparing UK tax returns
*UK or similar accounting qualification
*Minimum of 4-8 years of experience working in tax required
*Must possess superior organisational and documentation skills
*Extremely detailed oriented
*Ability to research and propose resolutions on complex tax issues
*Strong analytical skills set and solid experience with tax financial data
*Solid Word, Excel, PowerPoint, spreadsheet, and computer knowledge
*Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to foster a team-oriented environment, working collaboratively with cross-functional departments
*Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
