Job Description
Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit an experienced Tax and Compliance Accountant for an award winning education establishment on a permanent basis. The Tax and Compliance Accountant will provide strategic, expert and customer valued taxation information and advice to both internal and external customers including Senior Management, Service Directors, OfS, HMRC, and other overseas tax authorities.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for VAT accounting, including quarterly VAT return and preparation of VAT certificates and EC Sales submission
Responsible for the annual Corporation tax and other statutory HMRC returns
Provide specialist advice and guidance on direct and indirect tax related issues, including international tax, liaising with external advisors where relevant
Keep up-to-date with corporation tax and VAT legislative changes and requirements a
Provide assistance with employment tax compliance and advice in relation to global mobility
Developing a tax strategy, involving a review of the tax aspects of the business's overseas activity and operationThe successful Tax Accountant should have excellent knowledge of practices, processes, procedures, and systems relevant to the role as well as an understanding of appropriate legislation, regulations, and code of practice, along with appreciation of the implications of non-compliance.

CTA Qualification is desirable with a good understanding of UK GAAP and technical post qualified experience.
