Job Description
Operations Business Manager required for an established and leading local financial planning firm. Any operations or management background considered. This is a chance to play a key role in a successful and highly regarded business that puts its clients at the core of everything it does.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that is already successful and has a very loyal client following. Our aim is to demystify financial advice and our clients love what we do. This is a new role that you can ultimately make your own and your tasks will be to control all aspect of our business operations. Working with our MD, Nicola Downs, your input, and influence will only increase as you gradually learn our business and take on more responsibility. Financial Services is complex, and the work is varied and often challenging, and this role has enormous potential to learn and work at a business where you can really make a difference.

The role

We see this role as, to begin with, working closely with Nicola. You will shadow her and learn every aspect of the business so that you develop a comprehensive knowledge of everything we do. You will be learning from an industry professional who is totally committed to her business and getting it right. Within time you will take over major management functions within the company and it will be your job to ensure our operations run smoothly and effectively.

The duties are wide covering:

* Finance.

* Human Resources.

* IT.

* General Business Management.

Essential Skills

* At least two years business or team management experience gained from any industry. We'd be interested to hear from applicants with and without a background in financial services.

* A good understanding of the workings of HR and running a team.

* A good understanding of finance and running accounts for a small business.

* Highly organised, methodical and disciplined.

* Strong communication skills able to manage and lead a team and liaise confidently with all people in the company.

* Share our values.

* Strong leadership and coaching skills, able to enable our team to be the best they can be.

* Be focused to enable us to achieve our goals.
