Job Description
Payroll Clerk – £24,000 p/a DOE
 
Sheridan Maine is recruiting for a Payroll Clerk in a family run accountancy practice in Birmingham (Bearwood).
 
About The Role
 
Working in a friendly environment as a Payroll Clerk with 500 payrolls, mix of weekly, monthly and annually.
 
Duties to include but not limited to:

Assist in ensuring that all payroll related items are correctly recorded in the company’s accounting records
Ensuring the company abides with all current HMRC rules regarding pay and employment
Liaising with department colleagues, and other support team members to provide assistance with all payroll related matters
Assist in preparing end of period accounting reports, exception reports, statistics, and analyses, whilst also undertaking all end of year processing for the HMRC submissions
Creating new starters, including liaising with our training department, Preparing ID badges and processing P45/P46’s on the system and with HMRC 
What we need?
 
The ideal candidate will be well organised, used to working to tight deadlines, and flexible, with a willingness to learn and develop. The ideal candidate must;

Experience in a Payroll position
Experience in a data entry/administration position
Ability to travel to Bearwood
Ability to travel into the office for 5 days per week
