Job Description
SOX Analyst – Global Technology Corporate Environment – Remote Working With Occasional Travel Into Cambridge – Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with SOX financial reporting & controls experience – Salary £45,000 – £55,000 Plus Excellent Bonuses & Benefits Package

This hugely successful global Technology corporate requires a qualified or part-qualified Accountant with SOX financial reporting & controls experience, to join their team as a SOX Analyst and become an effective part of their busy Finance function which influences how the business manages SOX.

Offering a role with a variety of associated duties & responsibilities, the SOX Analyst will help design & maintain an effective and scalable internal controls environment, identify areas of risk, provide recommendations on controls and inspire improvements, changes and decisions.

Responsibilities Include

Performing walkthroughs and driving continuous updating of process documentation including flowcharts, risk and control matrices and data in AuditBoard (other Enterprise Risk platforms experience will suffice)

Recommending changes and updates to existing controls or proposing new controls to address any identified control gaps, ensuring an efficient and effective internal control system

Testing of controls including design and operating effectiveness

Confirming deficiencies with owners and developing, validating and tracking remediation actions

Assisting in responding to requests for information and audits related to controls

Supporting key compliance activities across Finance

Preferred Skills & Experience

Qualified or Part Qualified Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in SOX risk assessment, scoping, testing, deficiency assessment and concluding/reporting.
The ability to navigate through ambiguity, handling and co-ordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Experience with internal controls tools is preferred
Can take ownership and be accountable for processes while delivering on commitments.
Works with teams cross-functionally
