Job Description
We are on the lookout for a Senior Underwriter within a long-standing Insurance Broker.

You will be well rewarded with a fantastic financial package which equates to £40,000 negotiable DOE. The organisation is ideally situated in Sutton Centre providing easy bus, rail and car routes. Recently refurbished modern offices with great amenities in close proximity on the high street. Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm

Duties for the Senior Underwriter:

Lead the Underwriting team to ensure team objectives, SLA’s and KPI’s are met
Review and check new business quotations for the Sales Team to ensure that these are provided within the terms of the Binding Agreement set by insurers
Review and check renewal terms and mid-term adjustments for the Customer Service Team to ensure that these are provided within the terms of the Binding Agreement set by insurers
Produce, check and review and upcoming renewals. Ensure renewals are generated, reviewed, referred and sent within SLA time frames
Manage own workload and take responsibility for the more technically complex cases
To assist with the underwriting of scheme and placement of non-scheme business
To act as a technical referral point for colleagues and provide coaching and guidance where necessary
Ensure the audit programme is delivered within agreed timescales
Ensure all customer complaints are resolved in a way that treats the customer fairly at all times.
Manage existing insurer relationships and forming relationships with new insurers to develop new and existing schemes.
Assist with additional project work in the development of new schemes including competitor analysis
Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of our products and a well-developed ability to follow processes
Prepare and submit details of risks written to insurers on a monthly basis in the required format
Ensure customers are treated fairly, in line with businesses Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly Policy
Ensure the team adhere to all compliance and quality standards including FCA Regulations and GDPR I am extremely keen to speak to any underwriters with experience advising on a range of insurance products.
