Job Description
BDS are recruiting for a rent and service charge accountant in a fully remote position.
Our client are one of the leading housing association and they have a new and exciting opportunity to join the Finance team to lead the annual rent and service charge review process, working across the business. In this key role you will be responsible for ensuring that the business is compliant with the regulatory rent standard, service charge legislation and tenancy and leasehold agreements.
The ideal candidate will;
* Have detailed understanding, experience and knowledge of financial service charge legislation and regulation, particularly in respect of leaseholders and home owners.
* Experience of managing teams and inspiring colleagues to develop and grow through the implementation of a coaching culture.
* Experience in producing timely and accurate reports.
* Ability to deal with external auditors.
* An understanding of the different tenure types they may encounter in the role (Leasehold/RTB/Shared Owner/Freehold (with & without charges)/Rented/etc).
* Excellent communication skills, spoken, written, and verbal.
* Member of or currently studying towards a relevant financial qualification (CCAB/or equivalent) or significant relevant experience
* Highly developed knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Dynamics) and the ability to manipulate large volumes of data.

The role is fully remote however there may be travel required to attend team meetings.
Salary: up too £41,000 per annum
Contract Length: Permanent
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
