Job Description
Our client is looking for a senior regulatory reporting accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will have overall responsibility for the preparation, checking and submission of the prudential regulatory and statistical reports and relevant management information.
Responsibilities
* Keep up to date with the latest regulatory requirements and ensure that any changes that impact the Bank are reflected accurately in the relevant reports.
* Be the point source for information on prudential regulation that relates to the Bank. This includes the provision of information to management on prudential regulatory matters.
* Liaise with the regulatory reporting software provider (Vermeg) and/or the Bank’s IT Department when required to resolve any technical issues that may arise.
* Contribute to the preparation of the ICAAP, ILAAP, Annual Report and Pillar 3 Disclosures.
* Take a leadership role in the automation of prudential regulatory returns. In this regard, liaise with the software implementation project manager as necessary.
* Ensure that procedures relating to the regulatory returns are kept up to date.
Qualifications/Experience
* Accountancy qualification. [Part qualification is acceptable].
* Experience of being involved in the preparation or review of a wide range of regulatory reports relevant to a UK subsidiary of a foreign bank.
* Good understanding of banking products and services. In particularly, with regard to those provided by a UK subsidiary of a foreign bank.
* Sound knowledge of the regulation and guidelines relating to prudential regulatory reporting.
* Experience of having worked on the ICAAP and the ILAAP.
* Broad understanding of financial accounting and ability to translate to regulatory reporting where required. [For example, source information from the Management Accounts or other accounting reports and apply, where relevant, to the regulatory returns].
* Experience of having worked on the automation of prudential regulatory returns
