We are currently seeking a professional to join our Funds Administration team in the role of: Senior Fund Administrator – Life Fund Accountant.
The purpose of the role is to oversee the production of accounting data by the Offshore centre. The data is required by Life Company clients within agreed service levels and to a high standard of accuracy and is essential to the Life Company with regard to the completion of statutory accounts and regulatory returns.
In this role, you will:
Oversee the monthly control process to ensure that all key data is captured in Icon, fully reconciled and in a correct format to enable client report deliverables by set deadlines.
Ensure that the appropriate checklists and sign offs are fully completed in both Offshore and Onshore locations prior to release of data to Life Company clients.
Develop good working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and respond to queries in a swift and accurate manner.
Review all investment accounting reports that support the general ledger feed ensuring post month end control checks are completed and report any issues to line manager.
Oversee the preparation and supply data as required for regulatory returns such as ONS returns. This requires accurate and detailed analysis of accounting data.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Good working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v look ups)
Be numerate and willing to or currently studying professional accounting qualifications
Be a good communicator able to respond to internal and external queries
Possess some previous financial services or investments experience
Have the desire to learn and develop within the role
