This role sits in the Collateral Management team within the Middle office function of HSBC Markets & Securities Services. The Collateral Management team is responsible for the credit risk mitigation through the collateralisation of OTC/Repo products by performing full third-party collateral management activities on behalf of our institutional client base.

We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of: Senior Collateral Analyst.

The purpose of the role of a Senior Collateral Analyst is to facilitiate and handle all collateral calls and queries, ensuring any client disputes are settled in a timely and professional manner.

Key responsibilities will include:

Manage client/counterparty set up in line with the ISDA/CSA & monitor data feeds
Calculate daily exposures and agree on accurate collateral requirements with counterparties
Daily client interaction with internal and external stakeholders to close out any client/counterparty queries whilst managing any disputes
Follow up on collateral fails/non-receipts, provide daily reporting, meet KPIs and act as a checker for colleagues in respect of all of the above
Drive process improvement/automation initiatives and contribute towards UAT testing
Onboarding of new business where appropriate

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

A solid understanding of Collateral Management is preferential
Possess exemplary stakeholder management and communications skills
Be highly confident in your approach and have the ability to build up rapport quickly
Knowledge of OTC Derivative products would be highly advantageous
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a small team
Sound analytical and problem solving skills are key
Exposure to the Calypso Platform would be beneficial
Graduate level candidates and/or individuals with a CISI/IMC qualification are desirable but not essential

The role has a hybrid working pattern allowing for home based and office based working out of HSBC offices in Edinburgh.
