Amplifi Talent are partnering with a fast-growing Practice firm in Glasgow to recruit a Senior Accounts Manager on a permanent basis. The Accounts Senior Manager role will form part of the senior management team across the business and will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of the accounts offering across a number of offices.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Managing and taking ownership of a portfolio of clients

* Attending client meetings and providing practical, commercial advice to clients on a range of areas including accounting, taxation, systems, and general business advice

* Management responsibilities in the operations of the department and the flow of production within the department ensuring client requirements are met

* Reviewing the work of the team, providing constructive and balanced feedback

* Staff management, training, and development

* Direct responsibility for the staff involved in the production process

* Overall responsibility for financial management in relation to the department

* Business Development responsibilities to grow the client base

* Identifying cross-selling opportunities and building relationships across service lines

Ideal Background:

* Qualified finance professional (ACA/CA/ACCA) with several years’ experience of mixed accounts and advisory work

* Managerial experience

* Client facing experience

* Good working knowledge of systems, e.g. Xero, Sage, Iris

* Pro-active approach

* Excellent communications skills

It is likely the individual has been qualified for at least 5 years, having trained in practice. This could either represent a move within practice for an individual or a move back into practice having worked in industry.

It is essential that the successful candidate displays an ability to work at pace but also be very clear in their communications to their line manager and the wider business. And above all, this person must be an active ambassador for the firm and passionate about their work and supporting clients.
