Job Description
Our client is seeking a personable, charismatic individual to join their well-established team as an experienced Senior Accountant. The team are very hard working, and this is a reflection on their established and successful business.

Salary – 35 – 40k depending on experience.

This is not a hybrid role.

Hours of work are Monday – Friday 35 hours per week.

21 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays.

Must be able to drive (Parking provided).

Daily duties

Review financial accounts and other work prepared by accounts juniors and their outsourcing function.
Maintaining a portfolio ensuring accounts, VAT returns and management accounts are prepared on a timely basis and deadlines are complied with.
Handle clients' queries and provide advice where necessary.
Consider tax planning options for clients.
Invoicing clients and ensuring payment plans are put in place where the previous year's payment plan ends.
Sending out client account packs.
Assisting the running of the office.
Ensuring processes are completed as efficiently as possible and staff are using software to its full potential.
Prepare accounts when necessary.
Training junior staff.
Assist with the planning, preparation, and completion of audits.

Desirable Traits

Knowledge of Iris accounting suite, Caseware, Microsoft Office, Virtual Cabinet, SAGE and Xero
Exceptional communication skills with clients and colleges.
Professional and personable work approach.
Ability to manage workload.
A team player
