Semi Senior Accountant – Brearley & Co

The Role

Brearley & Co are a leading independent firm of accountants who have been established for over 30 years with offices in Swinton, Mexborough, Dinnington and Barnsley.

The business is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to join their Barnsley office.

Due to the highly varied client base which the firm support, the successful candidates will develop great exposure across all areas of accounting, coupled with working within a highly supportive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting the senior management team, duties of the Semi Senior Accountant will include the following:

* The preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

* Client Bookkeeping

* Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations

* Preparation of VAT

* Support clients on a variety of accounting software, including cloud accounting products

* Preparation of management accounts

Skills and Qualities

The successful applicants must have developed a minimum of 2 year’s experience working within the accountancy profession and will be Level 3 or qualified AAT or part qualified ACCA, applications from individuals who have developed suitable experience from within the accountancy profession but have decided not to pursue formal studies are also highly encouraged.
